Winds of Donbass in Rostov-on-Don.
On 22 July in the Rostov regional art museum has opened an exposition from Donetsk People`s Republic. “Winds of Donbass” was organized by Donetsk art-exhibition center “ArtDonbass”.

Still life. Beauty in simplicity.
Still life is a kind of examination for each artist. This modest piece of art with plain content reveals all skills of it`s author: habit of building composition, contrasts of light and shadow, perspective, colour etc.
The exhibition “Still life. Beauty in simplicity” represents paintings from Donetsk, Kharkiv and Rostov-on-Don.

On the 5th of June at the main exhibition area of Sochi – Art museum – by art exhibition center “ArtDonbass” was opened an exposition “Winds of Donbass”.

The exhibition represents more than a hundred works of thirty Donetsk artists. There are both paintings of famous and popular masters – honored and people’s painters – who have earned love of local public and young beginners.
Some pictures were created on the sunny shores of Crimea. Picturesque cape Tarhanqut and secluded cove Laspi became a kind of pilgrimage places for Donetsk artists.

“Hope, faith and love”
“Hope, faith and love” – this is the name for exhibition, which is dedicated to young artists of Donetsk. It is quite symbolic: “hope” refers to young generation, “faith” to peace and future and “love”, of course, to our intimates, to the world, to God. Seven painters take part in this exhibition, they are: Ksenia Shevchenko, Tatiana Malovichko, Tatiana Comendant, Alexander Coca, Helena Drobot, Svetlana Doroshenko, Anna Poltavskaya. Each author has represented more than three works here.

Mariupol artists and government officials come to the solemn opening of the exhibition (City Department of Culture was represented by Alexander Chain). The first guests of the exhibition “Art Mariupol 2012” were Donetsk Mayor Alexander Lukyanchenko and his deputy Valentin Laktionov.

On December 23 it was a festive mood in the air in spite of the freezing weather. Municipal art gallery produced a new present for Donetsk citizens - the exhibition of Kharkov masters’ works. At the exhibition opening were guests from Kharkov - chairman of the sculpture group of the Union of Artists of Ukraine organization in Kharkov, a famous sculptor Felix Betliemsky as well as Dmitriy Iv, Valeriy Pirogov, Said Ahmadi and Elishai Sajyad.

The first auction of the contemporary art has taken place in Donetsk, in spite of frightening headlines of mass-media. Organizers received evidence that Donetsk citizens are interested in contemporary art according to numerous attendees and they find niche for the further development of this kind of art.
Auction by tender, buyers' anonymity, tight security of art-exhibition centre are no ordinary activity for young gallery. Much work has been done for this auction.

Solemn opening of a preauction exhibition of the Ukrainian and Russian contemporary art took place in the presence of beau monde of Donbass on December 9th, in Donbass Palace hotel. Just 14 works were brought to guests attention in a hotel hall.
